Overview

What can you do with iSpeedIMG?

Start with the job most people came for: compress images to a fraction of their original size with a live before-and-after preview, or reduce image size for faster uploads and smaller email attachments. Resize images to exact pixel dimensions, crop images to the perfect frame, and watermark images with text or a logo — all free, all on your own device.

The automated tools run on your device too — no uploads anywhere: remove backgrounds from photos for transparent cutouts, blur faces or license plates before you share, and upscale images 2× to 8× when a picture is too small. Need a different file type? The image converter saves JPG, PNG or WebP — including the popular PNG to JPG switch — and turns SVG graphics into raster pixels. A quick photo editor rounds out the set with brightness, contrast, color, one-tap Looks, drawing, captions and stickers.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are iSpeedIMG tools really free?

Yes. Every tool on the site is free to use with no sign-up, no watermarks and no daily limits. The site is supported by ads, which is what keeps the tools free.

Do my images get uploaded to a server?

No. Files are processed on your own device using JavaScript and Web Workers — nothing is uploaded, not even a temporary copy. That is also why the tools keep working on slow connections.

Which image formats are supported?

Most tools open JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF files today (the converter also reads SVG), and results are saved as JPG, PNG or WebP. Support for more formats is planned.

Is there a maximum file size?

There is no server imposing a limit, because there is no server involved. The practical ceiling is your device’s memory, which is generous on modern phones and computers.

Is iSpeedIMG an online photo editor?

Yes — and more than one kind. The dedicated photo editor covers light and color — brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth, vignette and one-tap Looks — plus freehand drawing, captions, stickers, arrows, frames and rounded corners. The other focused tools handle the rest of the everyday jobs — compress, resize, crop, watermark, convert, upscale, remove backgrounds and blur faces. If you need layers or selective masking, that is still desktop territory.

Do I need to install anything?

No installation, extension or app is required. iSpeedIMG works directly in any modern browser, and nothing is left behind when you close the tab.

How do I convert PNG to JPG?

Drop the PNG into the converter, choose JPG as the output format and download. It works the other way too — JPG to PNG — and WebP is there when you need the smallest possible file.

Can I upscale an image?

Yes. Enlarge images 2× to 8× with smooth scaling, or switch to pixel-art scaling to keep the edges crisp. Like every tool here, upscaling runs on your own device.
